Not only Africa’s second highest peak but also inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Mount Kenya is certainly a dream destination for any Mountaineer. Start your trek through a fascinating world of tropical forest, providing occasional encounter with buffalo and forest elephants. Ascend and expect more wildlife encounter including colobus monkeys, antelope and giant forest hogs among others. The trek gets even more rewarding with the sight of some exceptional montane vegetation including towering giant lobelia, and then before you know it, you are gazing at one of the world’s rarest sights, equatorial snow.
